Program Development

Inventing and refreshing programs can take more time than you have to give. Never fear! Data Girl is here! She will consult with your team to create the curriculum and program plans you need to get an exciting and high quality endeavor off the ground.

Past Projects:

Cookie Consultants: Alison developed a volunteer program in partnership with the Women in Business club at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. The volunteers led a one-day business workshop for girls, and helped out at booth sales during the cookie sale. The volunteers provided desperately needed support for the girls, who learned valuable business skills, and for the troop leaders who needed more adult support.

South Everett Sampler Troop: Alison set up partnerships with Familias Unidas, Horizon Elementary School, an apartment building, Casino Road Ministries, and students in the MECHa club at Everett Community College to create a volunteer-led bilingual Girl Scout troop for girls and their parents. The pilot has become a permanent troop led by the Girl Scouts Outreach program.

Chicas Brillantes: Alison expanded Camp GLOW, a one week girls’ leadership camp, into a national, year-round girls’ empowerment initiative for the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. Alison supported 20 clubs across the country and developed a series of regional retreats, a career exploration weekend (Mi Futuro Brillante-My Brilliant Future), a youth advisory board, and a quarterly newsletter.
